Who said that if you are having a boy your baby shower should be BLUE??? Parties can always be PINKALICIOUS!
Why using expensive coloring sets to dye your eggs this Easter? Experiment with fruits and juices. This one is the result of mixing grape juice and vinager after leaving them soaking overnight. I LOVE it!!!
We finally decided on the theme and color scheme for my friend's baby shower. We are having a very "white" shower with some rustic touches and a little bit of blue, very light light blue. The idea is to create a party for the mummy with no diapers, onesies, teddy bears, etc... the baby is not going to remember any way right? So how to make a baby shower, look like a bridal shower without forgetting that there is a little one on the way??? First steps: 1. We found the color scheme 2. We have decided on the invite 3. We have a "general" idea of what she likes and wants :-) I think we are very close to get it done.
Salt Dough Decoration? I never thought of them but the possibilities are enormous and they have this vintage look that I always look for. They are easy to make (or at least they look like they are) and they are cheap. I am going to try to make some for the Baby Shower and will post some pictures after they are done.
Salt Dough Decorations You will need:
1. Mix all the flour, salt and water together to form the dough. Knead it for a few minutes, make sure everything is combined. 2. Next you roll out the dough to about 1 cm, using the rolling pin. Don’t make it to thin, otherwise your tags might break or look a little flimsy. 3. Now for the fun part. Start decorating the dough using rubber stamps and different colour ink. Remember you can use “blank” stamps to create a blind embossing effect. 4. Next you can start pressing shapes out of the dough. Use the straw to make a little hole at the top. 5. When finished you can lay them out on a wire rack to dry. If you’re having warm weather they’ll take about 3 days to air dry, but in cooler and more humid temperature they might take up to 6 days. 6. You can also dry them in an oven at 100 – 120°C for at least 3 hours. Enjoy!!!! Some of my favorite artists from around the world that fill me up with inspiration.
